All the three movies are great adventure movies and a treat to senses. It is one of my favorite movies. The movies are based on the novel by J. R. R. Tolkien. The first part The Fellowship of the Ring is just the beginning of the movie which shows the characters, the purpose of the ring and stuffs like that. The first part won 4 academy awards for: Best Cinematography, Best Effects (Visual Effects), Best Makeup, and Best Music (Original Score). The second part The Two Towers shows the preparation of the war. The movie won 2 academy awards for Visual Effects, and Sound Editing. The most important is the third part The Return of the King which shows the war and it is a great one. The third part also shows the life of Gollum, the mystic creature who was once the bearer of the ring. The movie won 11 academy awards: Academy Award for Best Picture, Directing, Adapted Screenplay, Original Score, Song, Visual Effects, Art Direction, Costume Design, Make-up, Sound Mixing and Film Editing. It is the only movie after Ben Hur and Titanic to won 11 academy awards. All the three movies are must watch.

Well, it has been criticized dearly but it's okay to have a one time watch. I will not say it's superb or something but it was okay. I guess they have made a second part too, but I will limit myself to this. The story is based on a killer videotape, whoever sees, dies. Rest is suspense which I definitely won't break :)
