The movie won a whopping 7 academy awards: Best Picture, Best Director (Sydney Pollack), Best Art Direction (Stephen Grimes, Josie MacAvin), Best Cinematography (David Watkin), Writing Adapted Screenplay (Kurt Luedtke), Original Music Score and Sound.
