The movie is about Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in Second world war. However, the movie has not many scenes of war just at the last moments few scenes are there. The movie revolves mainly around the central character Prewitt and his superiors. The movie has a good story line and nice drama. The movie won 8 academy awards for Best Picture: Buddy Adler, Best Director: Fred Zinnemann, Best Writing, Screenplay: Daniel Taradash, Best Supporting Actor: Frank Sinatra, Best Supporting Actress: Donna Reed, Best Cinematography (Black-and-White): Burnett Guffey, Best Film Editing: William A. Lyon, and Best Sound (Recording): John P. Livadary.
